A Saffron Walden and District Footpaths Association Walk
The Association was formed in 1963 to monitor and to encourage the use of the network of footpaths in the area around Saffron Walden. Membership costs £5 per household per year, but newcomers are welcome to walk with us before deciding whether to join. Please note that, due to the difficulty in finding walk starting places that can accommodate the growing number of cars we use, walkers are requested to share cars whenever possible. We do not want the car parking factor to restrict the area in which we can plan our walks.
Regular walks take place on the third Sunday of every month. We meet at Saffron Walden Common car park and leave at 14.00 (13.00 in February) to go to the start point. Those going straight to the start point will need to wait for those coming from the Common. There are also some evening walks.
