A Ramblers Association - Rochford & Castle Point Group walk
It is not necessary be a member to join in a walk - just turn up on the day. If you enjoy the walks and want to continue walking with us you are expected to join the Ramblers' Association to give us your support.
Our current programme asks you "To ensure that a walk takes place please contact the Leader beforehand to register an interest". There is no obligation to do so but if no one does then there is no certainty that the Walk Leader will be present at the Start. We have added this suggestion to the programme to try and avoid frustration on the part of leaders when they arrive at the start of a walk to find that there are no walkers
Many walks include a pub stop and cater for children and dogs, but please check with the walk leader before you go. You will need strong boots, shoes or trainers and warm and/or waterproof clothing, depending on the weather. But remember it can be very muddy particularly outside of the summer months. You may also want to bring a drink and a snack or lunch. Come and join us in a walk you will be very welcome. Better still join us and become a Walk Leader.
